Tell them what happened to me

Researchers Jarrett Davis, Dr. Glenn Miles and Dr. Madeline Stenerson, present their research on young people trading sex in Chiang Mai during the COVID-19 pandemic. They explore how boys, young men, and gender-diverse youth access and trade sex, as well as the social and economic vulnerabilities they experience. The study is part of a larger body of research conducted in Southeast Asia, specifically Cambodia, Thailand, and the Philippines. They discuss their methodology and findings, including the impact of COVID-19 on the sex trade and the unique vulnerabilities faced by cisgender males and trans and third gender people. This presentation was part of the Canadian Sexual Exploitation Summit.
